A WORD FROM THE GRAND MASTER

It is with great honour and respect that we share with you one of the original orders of chivalry with roots that extend back to A.D. 722. We share with you the history and how this order has remained alive even through time and challenges that have tested it's resiliance, and yet it continues to stand for the same purposes that it stood for in it's inception. Those of justice, honour, and peace and is the highest honour of the Christian Faith.

You may have found our site through researching orders of Knighthoood or Chivalry, or perhaps someone suggested that you read through this website with the idea of nominating you for Knighthood in The Sovereign Order of the Oak.

In Europe the esoteric subjects of Chivalry and Knighthood in early times are taught along with medieval history and thus there is an understanding in the general population, but in the New World the subject is normally only understood to any degree by students of medieval history, heraldry and genealogy. It is however, generally understood, that any person elevated to Knighthood based on their meritorious work in any field of endeavor, has received the supreme Christian accolade.

It is also understood that accepting Knightly rank, in any legitimate Order of Chivalry, means a commitment for the rest of one's life to the preservation of the Order. Only a commitment of this kind has kept a very few of these Orders alive for over a thousand years.
