Q: Does the Order support charitable causes?
A: Yes. We presently send annual financial support to “Instituto
Tecnico Superior Salesiano Domingo Comin” in Ecuador. This is a Catholic body
that trains children from the streets to become carpenters, plumbers,
electricians etc. and good productive citizens.
Q: Where can I find a complete history of the Order?
A: A book titled “Sovereign Order
of the Oak-A History” is in the Library of Congress and the British Library
in London.
Q: A man by the name of Guy Stair Sainty slags the Order on his
numerous web sites. Where can I find background on this man, or his
qualifications? On his page “Almanach de la Cour” he states…….”The essays on this site are principally by
Guy Stair Sainty, with some contributions by other scholars and specialists”…..thus
by implication he is a scholar and a specialist, but in what? How can I contact
him on his education, degrees in nobiiary law or genealogy? He does not reply
to my inquiries.
A: The world is full
of little men who gain pleasure from tearing down. We have known of this
character for years. He has no degrees or education in nobiliary law, or
genealogy. We know who we
are and our historical origins and we have the documentation to prove
it.
Q: How does one become a Knight or Dame of the Order of
the Oak.
A: By nomination of two existing Companions of the Order.
One may also email the Chief of Staff to arrange an interview with Two Knights
in your area on your qualifications and achievements.
